Foundation Priorities

Founded in 1978, the Mayfield Education & Research Foundation exists to advance educational and research efforts in the neurosciences. The original cohort of donors to the Foundation include Mayfield physicians, residents, nurses and other administrative staff.

The mission of the Mayfield Education & Research Foundation is to advance the care of patients with brain and spine disorders through leading-edge education and research.

Innovative Research

The Mayfield Education & Research Foundation has provided seed funding for innovative research to academic medical centers and university researchers. Grantees included medical school residents, PhD researchers and practicing surgeons.

Medical Education & Training

The Mayfield Foundation supports lectures, courses, clinics, and conferences that provide hands-on learning alongside classroom instruction and collegial discussion.

The Winter Clinics

Every year, The Winter Clinics for Cranial and Spinal Surgery brings together nationally recognized neurosurgeons and orthopaedic surgeons for a week of educational programming on today's most pressing topics.
