Mayfield Surgical Innovation Center (MSIC)

In October 2015, the Mayfield Foundation proudly opened its Mayfield Surgical Innovation Center. This 1,500+ square foot state-of-the-art lab facility and adjoining conference room and office rests atop the Mayfield Spine Surgery Center and provides six stations fully equipped with monitors and the latest technology for lab trainings. Medical students, nurses, surgeons, advanced practice providers, and medical device professionals utilize this space to hone their skills, practice the latest surgical techniques on emerging and new technologies, and learn from developments in the field. A sampling of courses taught at the Surgical Innovation Center include: Neuro 101, resident trainings, and a test drive of a new robotic device from Globus Medical. This bright and sleek space has attracted medical professionals worldwide and continues to thrive with donations and grants from 21 different sponsors from corporate and health sectors.
